Description
Director of Nursing - AllHealth Network

At AllHealth Network, compassionate, high-quality care and innovation come together to support individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises. Our Acute Care Campus (ACC) is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment at the center of our crisis response system, and we are launching a new Behavioral Health Emergency Center designed to transform how our community receives emergency behavioral health care. We are looking for a nursing leader who wants to build something - not just maintain it.

As the Director of Nursing, you will play a critical leadership role in building and advancing nursing services across the full crisis continuum, including 24/7 walk-in crisis care, observation, withdrawal management, crisis stabilization, and acute treatment. This role is ideal for an experienced nursing leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys building programs and systems, and is energized by leading teams through meaningful change.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee nursing services and help develop an innovative crisis response model on the Acute Care Campus, which includes the Walk-In Crisis Clinic, 23-hour observation, withdrawal management, the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), and the Acute Treatment Unit (ATU)
  • The Director of Nursing will play a key leadership role in developing protocols, training teams in new crisis-care skills, and helping staff adapt to a modern behavioral health emergency care model
  • Lead the development of a new Behavioral Health Emergency Center model by building nursing protocols, crisis workflows, and clinical standards for psychiatric stabilization and withdrawal management
  • Guide and inspire nursing teams through organizational transformation, building confidence in new clinical skills and fostering adoption of a modern vision for behavioral health emergency care
  • Designing clinical protocols for crisis stabilization and safe care delivery
  • Oversee 24/7 nursing operations to ensure safe, high-quality psychiatric and substance use disorder care
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing psychiatric nursing workforce
  • Ensuring excellence in psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment
  • Train and support nursing staff in psychiatric crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, de-escalation, and substance use withdrawal management
  • Foster staff confidence and competence in new clinical skills and evolving models of care.
  • Partner closely with executive, medical, and multidisciplinary leaders to ensure coordinated, effective crisis services
  • Promote a culture of accountability, compassion, teamwork, and continuous improvement

      What You Bring

      • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Colorado license or eligibility.
      • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
      • Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience.
      • Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience.
      • Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric services, or crisis care environments.
      • Clinical experience in psychiatric crisis care, substance use disorders and withdrawal management, dual diagnosis treatment, suicide risk assessment, de-escalation, and behavioral health medication management.
      • Preferred experience with inpatient behavioral health units, psychiatric emergency services, behavioral health emergency center models, and leading teams through program development or organizational change.
      • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate teams, navigate complexity, and lead confidently through change.
