ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring Inspire Medical Systems meets all external financial reporting obligations as a publicly traded company. This role supports the preparation of SEC filings, collaborates crossfunctionally, and helps maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detailoriented, organized, and experienced in U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE



  • Assist with the preparation and filing of all quarterly and annual reports with the SEC in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
  • Assist in drafting financial statement footnotes, MD&A, earnings materials, and other external reporting documents
  • Ensure filings comply with SEC regulations, XBRL tagging standards, and internal quality expectations
  • Help manage internal timelines and deliverables to ensure all reporting deadlines are met
  • Research and analyze new reporting and disclosure standards and coordinate with the accounting team to determine the impact to the company's disclosures, including writing position papers as needed
  • Ensure SEC reporting processes and disclosures represent best practices, recommending and assisting in the implementation of disclosure and process improvements as appropriate, including simplifying, standardizing, and streamlining
  • Perform financial reporting controls, including clear documentation of work/review performed
  • Partner with external and internal auditors to provide schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation
  • Build, maintain, and document source-to-report data flows, reporting procedures, control checklists, and evidence packages
  • Prepare GAAP and other reporting checklists
  • Assist with Board and Audit Committee decks preparation
  • Support Investor Relations through tie out and other quality assurance review of externally published materials, and assist with the earnings release 8-K
  • Support management in completing special projects as assigned and be a financial reporting resource for ad-hoc questions and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain working relationships across departments
  • Update and develop key financial metrics used in internal and external financial reporting

Educational/Certification Requirements:

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA license, preferably active, or progress toward CPA


Required Experience:



  • At least3 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4firm
  • Strong understanding ofU.S. GAAP,AICPA,and SEC financial reporting standards
  • Robust internal controls understanding and experience with SOX compliance
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Experience writing technical accounting memos
  • Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and ability to summarize conclusions succinctly
  • Flexibility and comfort with continuous change, willingness to take on challenges, and workindependently andin a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-orientedwith theability to prioritize multiple duties and work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of dedication to improvement andstrong senseof ownership
  • High standardsof customer service to contacts both within and outside the company
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel


Preferred Experience:



  • Experience with the Workiva platform
  • Experience implementinga newaccountingstandard,in terms of financial reporting
  • Experience working at or with a large, complex, growing international company in the med-tech industry

The salary for this position will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.

Salary
$135,000 $160,000 USD
