Strattec Security Corporation (Nasdaq listed STRT) designs, develops and manufactures highly engineered products primarily for the automotive industry. Headquartered in Glendale WI, Strattec has a history spanning over 110 years of providing innovative security, user interface and power access products including power sliding doors, door handles, lift gates, latches, key fobs, steering column & ignition locks and related solutions. The Company's largest customers are three leading automotive OEMs in North America, but products are also shipped to other original equipment manufacturers ("OEMs) around the world.

Strattec is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join our commercial team for an exciting internship opportunity. This role provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional environment while supporting a variety of projects and daytoday departmental activities.

You will collaborate closely with team members and gain exposure to business processes, tools, and projects, while building valuable skills for future career growth. This 11-week internship program will provide a blend of comprehensive real-world experience, networking events and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • The Commercial Intern will work with the Commercial team for various assigned projects such as but not limited to:
  • Assist with submission of customer production and prototype quotations
  • Review production and service contracts, support in resolving any discrepancies, maintain appropriate record retention, and filing
  • Support Customer Invoicing, including Tooling Purchase Orders, Eng. Design & Development and any other "special" non-production orders
  • Administrative Support: Assisting with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and managing communications.
  • Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers to gather feedback, address inquiries, and support sales efforts.
  • Project Assistance: Supporting various projects, including product launches and business development initiatives.
  • Report Preparation: Creating and presenting reports on sales performance, market analysis, and other relevant topics.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with different departments such as marketing, sales, and finance to achieve business goals.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • At least a Junior year (based on accumulated credits) at a College/University
  • Major in Business, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent field
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Logical thinker, able to determine next steps
  • Interest in learning Sales and Account Management in manufacturing and operations
  • Experience with research and analysis having developed and delivered reports and/or recommendations
  • Able to work full time during summer break
  • Demonstrated leadership experience involving cross-functional internal and external teams
  • Experience developing project plans, business case studies and business proposals

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Full-time during the summer months
  • Location: Hybrid, on-site four days per week
