Responsibilities

Peraton's Cyber & Intelligence HR Team is seeking an HR Manager who will serve as a the HR point of contact for a Business Unit and is viewed as a trusted partner who is progressive, responsive, consultative, and collaborative in driving win-win solutions. This role will report to the VP of HR for the Cyber & Intelligence Sector. The ideal HR Leader thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where the talent we provide to our customers is the driving force behind our revenue generation.

Successful candidates will demonstrate and have responsibility for the following in an ever-evolving environment:

    Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to recruits, interview, test, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
  • Fully versed and answers questions related benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
  • Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, drug testing, transportation, or relocation service.


Qualifications

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience including supervisory or lead HR experience
  • Selected candidate must have the ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and have excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft office suite (excel, powerpoint, Word).
  • Demonstrated background in employee relations including investigations and corrective practices, performance management, training, and development, and staffing and retention required.
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment is highly valued.
  • Must be local to the Reston/DMV area and/or able to commute on-site with a regular presence in the office.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with cleared programs
  • Active clearance a plus
  • Previous HRIS experience (Workday)

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
