Primary Purpose

The Executive Projects Manager supports a senior utility executive by ensuring day to day execution, follow through, and communication on priority initiatives. The role focuses on execution rigor - developing executive-ready materials, tracking key issues, coordinating across functions, and summarizing complex topics into concise insights for awareness and decision support. This role delivers handson, tactical execution support to improve executive focus, followthrough, and organizational alignment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Executive Materials & Communications



  • Develop, edit, and manage high quality presentations, dashboards, and briefing materials for executive leadership meetings, board and committee updates, and stakeholder touchpoints.
  • Produce polished presentations and reports that require minimal revision and consistently meet executive level standards.
  • Translate complex operational, financial, or regulatory information into clear, concise summaries.
  • Ensure all materials are accurate, well structured, and aligned with executive priorities.
  • Ensure executives are consistently prepared, well informed, and proactively aware of upcoming issues and priorities.


Issue Tracking & Follow Up



  • Track and manage key actions, deadlines, commitments, and open issues to ensure follow through and prevent critical items from being overlooked.
  • Proactively flag delays, dependencies, risks, and items requiring escalation.
  • Coordinate updates across multiple functions to ensure timely and accurate information flow.


Executive Project & Initiative Support



  • Provide project management support for executive sponsored initiatives, including milestone tracking, status reporting, and risk and dependency identification.
  • Ensure initiatives remain aligned with executive intent, expectations, and timelines.
  • Provide strategic and operational support that enhances the executive's time, focus, and overall effectiveness.


Strategic Awareness & Synthesis



  • Monitor key enterprise initiatives, organizational priorities, and external issues impacting the business.
  • Synthesize inputs into concise, actionable executive level summaries.
  • Maintain ongoing situational awareness to keep leadership informed of emerging issues, trends, and decision needs.


Meeting & Operating Cadence Support



  • Support planning and logistics for executive meetings, including agenda development, pre read preparation, and action item tracking.
  • Capture and distribute clear, well structured meeting notes with ownership and next steps.
  • Help standardize operating rhythms, templates, and reporting formats to improve consistency and efficiency.


Cross Functional Coordination



  • Serve as a coordination point across teams for executive requests, information needs, and updates.
  • Ensure information flows efficiently, accurately, and consistently across functions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with leaders, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
