Aon is currently looking for a Sales Operations Specialist- Fort Washington, PA

This position is essential to improving sales efficiency, reducing cycle times, and creating a smoother experience for both prospects and internal teams. By ensuring leads are well-prepared and administrative follow-ups are handled consistently, this role allows sales representatives to focus on high-value client interactions and growth activities.

This position supports Aon Affinity - Accountant's program. This is a hybrid role.

What the day will look like

The Sales Support & Lead Coordination Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the sales team by managing administrative and pre-sales activities that help move opportunities forward efficiently. This role serves as a key liaison between prospects, internal teams, and sales representatives ensuring timely follow-up on payments, outstanding documentation, and lead readiness-so sales representatives can stay focused on relationship management and closing business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Support & Follow-Up

  • Support assigned sales representatives by tracking and following up on outstanding payments, required forms, and documentation needed to advance or finalize opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal operations, underwriting, or accounting teams to ensure required information is received, complete, and properly logged.
  • Monitor open items and proactively escalate delays or issues that may impact sales timelines.

Lead Review & Sales Preparation

  • Review incoming leads to ensure completeness, accuracy, and readiness for sales engagement.
  • Verify required data (e.g., firm details, contact information, required disclosures or applications) prior to sales outreach.
  • Prepare and organize lead information in CRM systems to support effective and timely sales actions.
  • Flag missing information or potential issues and coordinate resolution before sales handoff.

Sales Enablement & Coordination

  • Assist in maintaining accurate CRM records, including lead status updates, activity tracking, and documentation uploads.
  • Support sales pipeline hygiene by ensuring leads and opportunities are properly staged, documented, and current.
  • Prepare basic summaries, checklists, or handoff notes to enable sales reps to engage prospects effectively.
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine prospecting or internal inquiries related to documentation, payment status, or next steps.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales or sales support, operations, administrative, or customer-facing role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple follow-ups and competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to identify missing or inconsistent information.
  • Comfort working in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar platforms).

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Preferred Skills & Attributes

    • Experience supporting sales teams in insurance, financial services, professional services, or B2B environments.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external contacts.
    • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce (Sales/Service Cloud).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with databases.

Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $55,000 to $65,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
