MTSI is seeking a Journeyman DAF Systems Security Engineer (SSE) to plan, develop, manage and maintain, and coordinate, and direct support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) System Security Engineering Guidebook (SSECG) to ensure its continuous relevance and effectiveness as a foundational resource. This effort includes updating SSECG content to align with the DoDI 5000.02 Adaptive Acquisition Framework, current cyber policies, and the DAF Digital Engineering Campaign, incorporating Unified Modeling Language (UML) and architecture development as required. The individual will also research, architect, and integrate emerging defense sector topics, such as Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain, while continuously reviewing and enhancing existing materials to improve user comprehension and applicability. Maintenance and collaborative activities will involve developing and maintaining a detailed roles and responsibility matrix to supplement the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), updating existing System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) tables, and managing an Internal Comment Resolution Matrix (ICRM) to track all changes. The individual will lead bi-weekly team meetings to synchronize efforts, collaborate with the CROWS Cyber Education Team and the Cyber Resiliency Support Team (CRST) to ensure alignment, provide expert feedback on materials from external sources like NIST and NDIA, and offer direct guidance and support to all SSECG users.
This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance. This position is 100% on-site with limited ability to telework.

Responsibilities:
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
*Lead bi-weekly team meetings to synchronize efforts, collaborate with the CROWS Cyber Education Team and the Cyber Resiliency Support Team (CRST)
*Plan, develop, manage and maintain, and coordinate, and direct support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) System Security Engineering Guidebook (SSECG)

*Research, architect, and integrate emerging defense sector topics, such as Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain
*Maintain a detailed matrix to supplement the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and update System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) tables
Qualifications Required:
*Active TS/SCI clearance.
*Master's degree and 5 years of experience or a bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience.
*Experience as a Systems Engineer working with US Air Force and other DoD Platform Information Technology.

*Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-tempo mission environment.
*Ability to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.
*Experience supporting data collection and analysis
*Experience supporting classified and/or special access programs.
