Overview

LMI is seeking a candidate to serve as an International Cooperation Analyst supporting the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for International Armaments Cooperation (ASW (IAC)) to enhance the harmonization and efficiency of international armaments cooperation and provide interoperable and interchangeable capabilities to our warfighters at this critical time and into the future.

This position requires on-site work in Alexandria, VA, five days per week.

The International Cooperation Analyst will help advance Department of Defense objectives with allies and international partners.

The candidate will plan and execute ASW (IAC) outreach and dialogue with international stakeholders and departmental and interagency partners to improve collaboration, communication, and security of supply for materials critical to national defense.

Responsibilities

    Draft packages (schedule requests, read aheads, official requests for funds, etc.) in support of bilateral and multilateral events with international partners and other stakeholders.
  • Manage engagement and correspondence trackers as they relate to various country portfolios.
  • Support bilateral and multilateral events with international partners in support of DoD priorities and senior leadership engagements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement international engagement plans to build close partnerships with allies on promoting and protecting critical technologies.
  • Identify and recommend mutually beneficial international armaments cooperation opportunities and activities to gain access to cutting edge technology.
  • Develop international armaments cooperation strategies for emerging partners and update current strategies for established bilateral and multilateral partners.
  • Help to resolve international agreement, technology security, program acquisition and foreign disclosure issues for identified allies and partners.
  • Research, analyze, and monitor the geo-political environment, defense structure, technology capability and defense industrial base.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to country desk officers.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of an active DoD Secret Clearance (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree (Any Field) (Required)
  • At least 2 years of experience in Department of War international armaments cooperation activities (Required)
  • At least 2 years of experience in Foreign Military Sales programs and with Defense Exportability policy and management (Required)
  • Experience in security disclosure and export control, cooperative acquisition (Desired)
  • At least four (4+) years OSW or Service headquarters international armaments cooperation experience (Desired)
  • Experience in Foreign Military Sales programs and cooperative acquisition (Desired)
  • Experience in security disclosure, export control (Desired)

Target Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000
