Job Summary

This position reports to the Director, IT Infrastructure and Security and will be focused on systems engineering and administration in a cloud-focused infrastructure. We are seeking a Cloud Systems to design, implement, and maintain a well-architected, scalable, secure, and cloud-focused infrastructure from end-to-end. This role is ideal for experienced systems professionals who are self-starters, prioritize automation and standardization, build and maintain reliable infrastructure, and work collabatively in a team setting. Candidates must adhere to best practices, create robust documentation, and follow change control requirements. The candidate will play a key role in modernizing infrastructure, improving automation, and ensuring operational excellence across a combination of IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS solutions.


Essential Duties

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, including compute, storage, networking, and identity services
  • Architect and manage hybrid and cloud-first Windows environments (Windows Server, Azure VMs, Entra ID)
  • Engineer and maintain identity and access management solutions, including MFA, Conditional Access, and RBAC
  • Build, maintain, and optimize Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
  • Design and support endpoint management and configuration using Intune and modern device management practices
  • Engineer integrations and access workflows across SaaS applications
  • Implement monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Lead configuration management and infrastructure hardening in collaboration with the cybersecurity team
  • Automate routine administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell or similar tools
  • Act as an escalation point for complex system and infrastructure issues
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and standards
  • Collaboration with leadership on infrastructure planning, security posture, and cloud cost optimization
  • Ensure change management policies are followed while maintaining or deploying security solutions
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
  • Azure Certification (AZ-104, AZ-305, or similar public cloud certifications)
  • 5+ years in cloud-focused Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Entra ID
  • Experience administering container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10/11, and Active Directory Domain Services
  • Strong experience in engineering and administering Microsoft 365
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls)
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability design
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layer system issues
