Software Engineering Manager

Join our innovative team as a Software Engineering Manager and lead the development of cutting-edge aerospace products that set industry standards. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle-from concept to production and support-driving technical excellence and regulatory compliance. Your leadership will help shape solutions that serve customers worldwide across general, business, and military markets, making a real impact in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple product development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, technical quality, and compliance.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a diverse engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Oversee all phases of product design, verification, and certification, working closely with regulatory agencies such as the FAA.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research new technologies and incorporate innovative solutions.
  • Engage with customers and sales teams, providing technical support and exploring new opportunities.


Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience designing or managing the development of digital and mixed-signal products with embedded software.
  • At least 5 years' experience managing and leading engineering teams.
  • Proven track record managing product development in regulated industries and manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with design, ERP, and project management tools, as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.


Nice to Have Skills:
  • Knowledge of aerospace, military, or commercial standards such as RTCA DO-160.
  • Familiarity with software standards like RTCA DO-178.
  • Experience managing projects within technically diverse, cross-functional teams.


Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant technical fields.
  • Over 10 years in digital/mixed-signal product design or management.
  • Previous experience managing teams and projects in a highly regulated environment.


Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support customer and regulatory interactions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with FAA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in aerospace engineering.
