Responsibilities:
Coop Industrial Engineer
- Interest in manufacturing operations and learning how production lines function daytoday
- Ability to observe and document flow line status, including basic tracking of bottlenecks and throughput
- Support monitoring and updating WIP/SWIP levels across stations with guidance
- Curiosity about Theory of Constraints and willingness to apply simple TOC concepts (identify constraints, track flow, support improvement actions)
- Assist with daily TIER meetings by gathering data, updating boards, and helping maintain meeting flow
- Help create or maintain visual metrics on the shop floor (simple charts, boards, KPI updates)
- Open to female candidates to help strengthen team diversity
- Support strategic process development by documenting current processes, identifying gaps, and helping standardize workflows across the site
- Help coordinate Kaizen workshops, including preparation, data collection, notetaking, and followup action tracking
- Contribute to establishing and maintaining 5S standards, including audits, visual controls, and improvement suggestions
- Assist in defining and improving standard work on the production lines, ensuring steps are clear, repeatable, and aligned with best practices
- Comfortable spending time on the shop floor, engaging with operators, and validating observations
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma and be actively enrolled in an accredited University in industrial engineering
- 1-2 years' experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
- 1-2 years' experience of mechanical components and machine design.

Working Conditions:
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
