Job Description

-Diagnoses and resolves processing related problems on molding cells.
-Determines and implements corrective actions and evaluates effectiveness as appropriate.
-Warrants the best compliance at all times for all molding processes to their established standard across the factory (in terms of cycle time, quality, safety for both employees and machines, and sustainability).
-Monitors machine/process operations and documentation to ensure quality standards are maintained.
-Follows data and process documentation.
-Utilizes analytical and Scientific Injection Molding troubleshooting techniques for achieving continuous improvement.

Provides continuous floor support by working with support departments- maintenance, tool room, automation, engineering.
-Communicates and follows planned and unplanned activities in conjunction with the process manager and department production monitoring system (Factbird).
-Can perform lower level sampling as needed by process engineer.
-Works with Supervisor to close NCR's or Process Audits

-Communicates with prior and oncoming shift personnel regarding daily issues encountered.
-Investigates scrap reduction techniques within work cell and improves part capture.
-Working with Shift Leader and Continuous Improvement & Process Manager, brainstorms continuous improvement ideas to maximize productivity and efficiencies.

Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.

Proficient in Scientific Injection Molding principles.

Experience with problem solving methodologies.

Troubleshooting and processing experience.

Experience using basic injection molding measurement instruments (Weigh Scale, Calipers, Pyrometer, etc.).

Basic computer skills.

Experience operating a sit down forklift.

Experience using an overhead crane for mold installation.

Experience training technical employees.

Manufacturing environment.

Some exposure to office environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to stand/walk 80% of the time.

Compensation Range: Base rate of $25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Hours + Schedule: 6:00 am- 6:15 pm; 36 48 schedule
