Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an Early-Career Environmental Engineer or Scientist in our Pennington, New Jersey office as part of our Mid-Atlantic Operations. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of consulting engagements involving environmental planning and management, field investigations, environmental/ecological assessments, construction support services, complex problem-solving, technical analyses, and other field or office work assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams with common objectives;
  • Conduct fieldwork such as soil, air, and water monitoring and sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and treatment system operation and maintenance;
  • Chemical, physical and other data collection, summarization, and evaluation;
  • Infrastructure and environmental system evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation assistance;
  • Environmental due diligence, regulatory review, permitting, and compliance efforts;
  • Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
  • Preparation of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, presentations, and proposals.
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed; and,
  • Effective communications, including Team and client interaction and briefings.


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in geology; environmental, civil, or chemical engineering; or related technical discipline. (required)
  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA or PhD) in the same. (preferred)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Advanced skills in MS Office (particularly Excel) and other analysis and project management software. (required)
  • The drive, intellectual curiosity and creativity to successfully complete a broad range of client engagements. (required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (required)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
  • Technical background or environmental experience related to solid waste. (preferred)
  • Prior research experience in water resources, waste management, contaminated media or remediation technology. (preferred)
  • Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum: $59,375/year / Maximum: $92,350/year (Pennington, NJ)
