*Construction Manager - Small Cell / Fiber (Crown Castle)* *Location:* Chandler, AZ (Hybrid - 60% office / 40% field)
*Schedule:* Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM *Travel:* Occasional travel to NV & NM *Type:* Contract - 52 Weeks *Role Overview* Crown Castle is looking for a Construction Manager to support small cell and fiber network builds. In this role, you will coordinate construction activities, manage vendors, create work packages, track project progress, and ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners while overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. *Key Responsibilities* * Create and distribute work packages for vendors. * Coordinate construction schedules and communicate timelines with vendors and inspectors. * Resolve construction issues in the field and support projects through all build phases. * Manage purchase orders, process contractor invoices, and track project financial milestones. * Monitor deadlines, track deliverables, and provide detailed progress reports. * Identify project obstacles and escalate issues before they become critical. * Support data collection, reporting, and adhoc project analysis. * Ensure safety compliance and adherence to Crown Castle quality standards. * Maintain accurate documentation, including service delivery and closeout packages. * Update company systems and participate in crossfunctional team meetings. *Required Experience* * *3+ years* of telecommunications or wireless construction experience. * Knowledge of *OSP construction* (aerial, underground, trenching, bore rigs, leased duct). * Experience with *small cell construction*, node builds, and related design techniques. * Familiarity with testing equipment such as *OTDR, PIM, and sweep testing*. * Understanding of *NESC, NEC, and OSHA* standards. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and troubleshoot field issues. *Preferred Skills* * Strong project management and organizational skills-ability to manage several projects at once. * Experience with fiber and small cell construction drawings and design. * Understanding of *811 utility locates* and safe digging/subsurface construction practices. * Knowledge of node and power construction (foundations, poles, RF components, power installation). * Ability to manage construction crews and coordinate field operations. * Strong interpersonal and customerservice skills for vendor and internal communication. * Proficiency with *Excel, Smartsheets, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office*. *Education & Certifications* * High School Diploma required. * Valid driver's license required. * *OSHA 10* preferred. * *Drug Test - Required * * *BG Check - Required* * *Clean Driving Record - Required* *Work Environment* * *60% Office:* Reporting, scheduling, financial tracking, vendor communication. * *40% Field:* Site visits, inspections, construction oversight, issue resolution. * Exposure to heavy equipment and outdoor construction environments is expected. *Position Summary for Candidates* This role is ideal for a candidate with strong telecom construction experience-especially in small cell, fiber, and OSP work-who can manage multiple projects, communicate clearly, and ensure safe, highquality builds. You will act as the central point between vendors, engineering, permitting, regulatory teams, and Crown Castle leadership to keep projects moving efficiently from start to finish. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
