Cable Technician - Commercial Low-Voltage Systems Position Overview: TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Cable Technician for hands-on work on commercial projects across Nashville. You'll install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling systems that power modern commercial spaces-working solo or leading small crews in new construction environments. If you're technically minded, safety-focused, and ready to build real skills in a growing industry, this is your opportunity. What You'll Do: * Install cable pathways, trays, and j-hooks in new construction sites * Pull and route Cat6+ and fiber optic cabling to project specs * Terminate faceplates, jacks, and cable endpoints with precision * Lead small teams or work independently based on project needs * Get daily direction and training from experienced onsite leads * Use hand tools, drills, and equipment safely and effectively * Travel to job sites around Nashville, mostly downtown What We're Looking For: * Experience with low-voltage systems, cabling, or electrical work * Comfortable using hand tools and construction equipment * Able to work in active new construction environments * Eager to learn and grow in the low-voltage industry * Reliable transportation and flexibility to meet at shop or onsite * Strong work ethic-can work solo or lead when needed * Safety-first mindset with attention to detail * Good communication and customer service skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
