As the Operations Manager, you will be in a critical leadership role for the S&E/ regulatory compliance. You will meet commercial targets and modernization of the Monroeville Small Scale manufacturing facility. You will lead the modernization initiatives to enhance engineering standards, productivity, digital integration, and operational resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain standards and ensure adherence to all PPG and local legislative environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements and programs.
  • Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to implement the transfer of new product introductions (Photochromic, OLED and HI-GARD) from the development laboratories to the plant.
  • Lead any capacity expansion projects to support increasing customer demand.
  • Guide capital investment planning aligned with long-term business strategy.
  • Develop and execute a plant modernization roadmap for equipment and automation.
  • Support workforce development through technical training and succession planning.
  • Collaboration with supply chain, sales, customer service, commercial and technical teams to deliver positive customer outcomes and revenue growth for PPG.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering/ Chemistry field; Chemical Engineering degree preferred.
  • 10+ years' proven experience in an industrial environment and 5+ years' proven experience in a management role.
  • Experience with New Product/Process Introduction (NPI) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements (environmental, health and safety, and quality and employment law).
  • Plant control/ automation system knowledge.
  • Lean, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma skills.
