Facility Security Officer Rockville, MD (hybrid) Pay From: $120,000 per year MUST: Experienced FSO / Senior Security Lead Active DoD Top Secret Clearance 10+ years of working in Federal/DoD space as a facility security officer Experience coordinating with government security offices and program stakeholders to execute security compliance requirements Strong understanding Federal security protocols and hands on knowledge of systems to include DISS, NBIS and Equip Strong working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Strong knowledge of administrative regulations and sanctions related to security violations and non-compliance Familiarity with reporting and compliance requirements of the **Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Experience in both Defense and Intel space is preferred Strong experience with MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word etc) Excellent communication skills both written and verbal High attention to details with strong analytical skills Bachelor's Degree strongly desired DUTIES: Serve as the Lead Facility Security Officer, responsible for implementing and overseeing all security requirements supporting a classified DoD program Ensure facility and program compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable government security directives Establish and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls governing the handling, safeguarding, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified and sensitive information Perform all duties required to obtain, maintain, and manage accreditations for classified facility spaces Manage personnel security processes including clearance submissions, status tracking, and reporting through systems such as DISS and NBIS Conduct security indoctrinations, briefings, debriefings, and ongoing security training for cleared personnel Ensure employees, consultants, and subcontractors understand and comply with security clearance requirements and classified handling procedures Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies regarding security compliance, personnel clearances, classified visits, and program security requirements Establish and enforce controls for the handling, accountability, and protection of classified documents, media, and equipment Advise program leadership and staff on information system security coordination and compliance requirements in partnership with cybersecurity personnel Review classification guidance and contract security requirements for prime contracts and subcontracts Ensure proper interpretation and flow-down of requirements contained in the DD Form 254 to subcontractors, including verification of subcontractor security compliance Prepare and submit required security reports, compliance documentation, and notifications to appropriate government agencies Support internal and external security inspections, audits, and compliance reviews Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
