Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of sports related experience; OR a Master's degree and two (2) years of related experience; OR eight (8) years of sports related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.



Job Summary

Responsible for managing football operations related to recruiting, roster management, and student-athlete development. This position will oversee key administrative functions, compliance, and operational aspects, ensuring alignment with institutional, conference, and NCAA standards.

  • Lead the development and execution of the football program's recruiting strategy, identifying and evaluating prospective student-athletes through film study, live evaluations, and performance data analysis
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to assess talent, fit, and potential impact of recruits, while managing recruiting databases and tools to track prospects and evaluate trends.
  • Manage the football roster, ensuring scholarship allocation and positional balance.
  • Oversee official and unofficial visits for recruits in compliance with NCAA regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies, including recruiting, eligibility, and financial aid regulations, while maintaining accurate records for all compliance and eligibility documentation. Work closely with the compliance office to educate players and staff on NCAA regulations
  • Partner with the Head Coach to develop long-term strategies for player and program success, evaluating and enhancing program policies to ensure alignment with team and institutional goals
  • Design and execute comprehensive player development programs focused on academic, athletic, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with the coaching staff to align development plans with team objectives.
  • Oversee football-specific events, including camps, team travel, and gameday logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and institutional policies
  • Represent the football program in community outreach and public events, identifying and managing issues impacting the program's reputation and public image. Work with other athletic and institutional departments to foster fan engagement and generate revenue.
  • Develop programs and initiatives to support player retention, academic success, and personal growth, collaborating with academic advisors and support staff to monitor player progress and ensure eligibility. Work with coaches to design individualized development plans for players.
  • Oversee scholarship allocation and manage roster composition to ensure balance across position groups, analyzing team needs and developing strategies to address gaps in talent or depth. Collaborate with the coaching staff to ensure roster decisions align with both short-term and long-term goals
  • Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of General Manager/ Director of player Personnel. Reports any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations.
  • Provide oversight of revenue-sharing and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) programs, and serve as the primary point of contact for agents and NIL representatives regarding related matters.
