We’re hiring an Audio/Video Systems Analyst to help ensure the successful delivery of public meetings, support modern collaboration environments, and continuously improve audio/visual experiences across county facilities. This role supports both highly visible public-facing meetings and internal collaboration spaces, combining operational expertise with analytical thinking, system administration, and cross-department partnership.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure the reliable operation of audio and video systems supporting public meetings, including live production, broadcast, streaming, and archival recording.
- Administer and maintain enterprise audio/visual platforms and meeting room environments.
- Collaborate with departments, stakeholders, and contractors to plan, configure, and improve audio/visual solutions for meeting spaces and facilities.
- Diagnose and resolve audio and video system issues, often in time-sensitive or live environments.
- Support the design, installation, and lifecycle management of audio/visual equipment, including participation in construction or renovation projects.
- Provide guidance and targeted training to departments and meeting participants on effective use of audio and video technologies.
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation for audio/visual equipment and systems.
- Recommend upgrades, enhancements, and replacement strategies to improve reliability, consistency, and user experience.
- Support portable and remote meeting setups, including occasional early morning, evening, or after-hours meetings as required.
- Perform other work as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field and five years of working experience with a minimum of three years applying data management methods, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience supporting, administering, or operating audio and video systems in meeting, collaboration, or broadcast environments.
- Understanding of audio/visual signal flow, system integration, and troubleshooting practices.
- Ability to operate and manage audio/visual equipment used in conference rooms, presentation spaces, and public meetings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with departments, vendors, and technical teams.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in high-visibility or live-meeting situations.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a cross-functional team.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and work with installed equipment in meeting rooms or equipment spaces.

Additional Requirements
- Must maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment.
- Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, records must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date.
- Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
- This position is also subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice’s “Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy” and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check. Must be a US citizen or have been a lawful resident of the US for the past ten consecutive years.
