Job Title: Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

Job Term: Full-Time

Location: Onsite 5x a week in Santa Clara, CA

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Revenue Manager to join our dynamic finance team and play a key role in managing revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, and supporting various financial initiatives.

Responsibilities:



  • Must have experience in both technical and operational revenue accounting
  • Lead and oversee the revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and accurate recognition of revenue across all business lines.
  • Oversee and manage intercompany revenue and COGS transactions, ensuring accurate recognition and reconciliation between Picarro, Inc. and its subsidiaries.
  • Lead the process of intercompany eliminations, ensuring the consolidation of financial statements accurately reflects the economic reality of the company's performance.
  • Review and approve customer credit limits and payment terms, minimizing credit risk and ensuring timely payment.
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring completeness and accuracy of revenue and revenue-related accounts for both internal and external reporting, including review of journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Manage the invoicing process, working closely with the order management team.
  • Ensure revenue recognition practices adhere to relevant accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606) and other regulatory requirements. Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize revenue-related processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as directed by the Corporate Controller, providing financial analysis, insights, and support for strategic initiatives.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting and a minimum of 5 years in revenue accounting and financial management, also with a focus on intercompany transactions.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606.
  • Experience with COGS analysis, intercompany eliminations, and credit management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with preference given to candidates familiar with NetSuite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, highly proactive with a strong ability to work with minimal guidance and direction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in leading and executing ad hoc projects.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.


Salary & Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $150k-180k. Your base salary range and title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualification, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
