Application Developer, Principal

As a Principal Full Stack Engineer within the IT Health Solutions Portfolio team, you will serve as a technical and strategic leader, driving the architecture, design, and delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative healthcare solutions. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will set technical direction, mentor engineering teams, and ensure the adoption of best practices in DevSecOps, cloud-native development, and automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to shape the technology roadmap and champion continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or principal engineer role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting and deploying cloud-native solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Advanced proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and back-end technologies (.NET, Java, Node.js).
  • Deep experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong background in security protocols, DevSecOps, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Preferred: Experience in healthcare technology, including integration with Epic, Salesforce Health Cloud, and Data Cloud.
  • Preferred: Experience leading teams in Agile environments and driving organizational change.

Hybrid

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.

Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
