In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring Mercy Health receives accurate and appropriate reimbursement for the vital care we provide in our communities. You'll lead the preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, coordinate audit activities, and manage monthly thirdparty financial analysis. Your work will directly support the financial health of our hospitals and the care we deliver.
You'll also partner with teams across Mercy by preparing hospital-based financial analyses, supporting provider enrollment for our hospital entities, and completing important industry and payer surveys. This is a role where your analytical strengths, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy will truly make an impact. Position Details: REMOTE OPPORTUNITY - COST REPORTING Minimum Required QualificationsEducation: BS Degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience: 5 years' experience in healthcare cost reporting Other Skills and Knowledge:- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications- Verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsLicensure: CPA or other is a plusExperience:- 5+ yrs in Medicare cost report preparation or auditing- Medicare Area Contractor experience is a plusOther Skills and Knowledge:- Lawson GL experience Why Mercy?
