About the role

Reworld is seeking an experienced, relationship-focused, credible, and dynamic commercial leader who will thrive within a mission-driven organization that has a growing customer-focused and high-performance culture. This highly visible, internal and external leader will have demonstrated success in creating and executing a sales strategy across all business verticals including Waste-to-Energy, Material Processing, and 3rd Party Solutions focused on helping customers drive sustainability.

Reporting to the Chief Revenue and Growth Officer, the VP of Organic Growth will serve as a member of the corporate team and will provide the commercial leadership, strategic vision, and functional expertise required to lead the organization to successful organic growth.

This executive will possess a high level of proficiency and demonstrated expertise in overall commercial operations, including market access, commercial analytics, forecasting, new business development, and portfolio strategy. Help drive improvement and growth for the business in environmental waste, energy and sustainability, ensuring we deliver on our customers' expectations while meeting internal and external measures of success.

Location
Ideally, the executive in this position will be based in the Northeast, preferably in Florham Park, NJ to enable face-to-face customer interaction as well as direct leadership over the sales team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Drive top line growth of the company in line with Full Potential Plan (FPP).
  • Lead a best-in-class, high-performance Price and National Sales teams, and related support functions.
  • With a focus on world-class service, and utilizing lean management principles, drive commercial excellence and asset optimization via proactive customer engagement.
  • Provide effective leadership to the commercial organization to ensure the development of the business and its people.
  • Lead, develop, and communicate the commercial vision, strategy, and resource requirements to successfully and profitability grow.
  • Ensure the management of all financial aspects of the commercial organization including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and overall management and accountability of the P&L.
  • Provide commercial analysis and direction for the development and management of the business portfolio pipeline and ensure that plans for current and future business are fully aligned with the needs of the company.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of commercial experience, including market analysis and sales leadership experience.
  • Outstanding track record of building effective organizations, developing employees, and building the relationships essential to influencing decision-making at all levels in the organization.
  • A strategic/analytical and results-driven thinker with the ability to plan, direct, and lead a robust commercial organization.
  • Strong values-driven leadership qualities including a track record of achievement as a senior commercial leader in a manufacturing organization.
  • Demonstrated success in building commercial organizations.
  • Extensive experience with developing and executing sales strategies, field leadership, market research and analysis, and business forecasting.
  • Strong executive presence, focus and drive to succeed - confidence, passion, and high energy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving dynamic small to mid-sized company environment.
  • A resourceful and creative problem solver who will 'roll up their sleeves' to get the job done.
  • Knowledge of commercial compliance and all laws and regulations that govern promotional and non-promotional activities.
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time, domestically.

Education:

  • BS / BA in engineering, business, management or related discipline.
  • Graduate degree (MBA) and/or equivalent experience and education in strategic leadership and business preferred.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Waste or environmental service industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong executive leadership skills, communication, presentation, and business partnering ability.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and have strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive, collaborative manner.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
