We are delighted to be recruiting for a hybrid research (60%) and clinical (40%) pediatric neuropsychologist position, with a focus on neuropsychological outcomes for children with neurogenetic conditions within a precision-medicine team. This position will also have the opportunity to see children with a wide range of medical conditions impacting central nervous system functioning through our Pediatric Neuropsychology clinic in the Section of Neurology at Children's Hospital Colorado and its network of care sites. Responsibilities include conducting primarily outpatient evaluations-both research and clinical-and occasional inpatient consultations. The role also includes teaching, supervising trainees, and participating in educational activities such as case conferences and lectures. The position contributes to clinical program development and scholarly activity within Neurology and related interdisciplinary initiatives, including collaborative projects that support neurogenetics related research and emerging precision medicine approaches. Board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in Clinical Neuropsychology is expected within five years of employment. Additionally, this role involves specialized expertise in assessing cognitive and behavioral functioning in children with epileptic encephalopathies and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with significant support needs, as well as integrating these assessments into broader longitudinal, clinical, and research activities. Key Responsibilities: * Support neurogenetics and precision medicine research, including participation in longitudinal studies and integration of cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive data into evolving research frameworks. * Provide outpatient neuropsychological evaluations for children and young adults with diverse neurological, medical, and neurodevelopmental conditions. * Conduct screening and targeted assessments within multidisciplinary clinics, in addition to traditional comprehensive evaluations. * Apply specialized expertise in epileptic encephalopathies and IDD, including interpretation of complex neurodevelopmental profiles and support needs. * Contribute to training and supervision of neuropsychology externs, interns, and post doctoral fellows, and participate in educational activities. * Collaborate across clinical and research teams to promote consistency in assessment practices, data processes, and quality assurance activities that enhance overall program development. |
