Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer for an onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of complex data solutions to meet technology and business goals. The ideal candidate will use large data sets to optimize products and processes, defining and building data pipelines to enable better, data-informed decision-making. The position involves guiding stakeholders and collaborating with development teams to ensure data architecture is correctly designed and implemented. Responsibilities: Lead efforts to develop and deliver complex data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals Perform code design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation, and control of data Guide stakeholders, Product Owners, and Software Engineers through design and execution processes Define and build data pipelines that enable faster, better, data-informed decision making within the business Maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate data for operational and/or analytics data systems Collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements and ensure data architecture is feasible and implemented accurately Conduct research, design prototyping, and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets Requirements: Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, Hive, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets Experience working with and creating data architectures Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) Experience with distributed data/computing tools such as Hadoop, Hive, and MySQL Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams Desired skills: Scala development experience Java development experience Microsoft Graph API Kafka Intune Pay range: $58.31 - $66.61 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
