Director, Industry Expert & Evangelist (Datagrid)

Procore
United States, Texas, Austin
221 West 6th Street (Show on map)
Feb 25, 2026

Procore is looking for a Director, Industry Expert & Evangelist in our Datagrid Division. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for defining and communicating the future of the built environment. You will serve as the primary bridge between the construction industry's complex challenges and our technology solutions.

Your mission is to move the industry from fragmented, analog workflows to a unified, data-driven platform. You will be a market-facing strategist, a peer-level advisor to C-suite executives at global construction firms, and a visionary voice that inspires internal teams to build the next generation of ConTech.

What you'll do:

1. Market Influence & Thought Leadership

  • Primary Spokesperson: Act as the face of the brand at major industry events (e.g., Groundbreak, ENR FutureTech, Autodesk University) and in trade media.

  • Content Strategy: Author provocative white papers, op-eds, and "State of the Industry" reports that challenge traditional construction methodologies.

  • Digital Presence: Maintain a strong professional brand via LinkedIn and industry forums to drive organic reach and position the company as a "Trusted Advisor."

2. Strategic Executive Engagement

  • Advisory: Partner with Sales on "Must-Win" accounts to provide high-level industry perspective that a standard Sales Rep cannot.

  • Business Value Engineering: Help prospective clients understand the ROI of Digital Transformation, moving the conversation from "software cost" to "risk mitigation and margin protection."

  • Executive Roundtables: Design and lead exclusive peer-to-peer sessions for industry leaders to discuss labor shortages, supply chain resilience, and ESG.

3. Product & Ecosystem Advocacy

  • The Feedback Loop: Act as a "Human Sensor" in the market, distilling feedback from owners, GCs, and specialty contractors into actionable insights for the Product and Engineering teams.

  • Ecosystem Growth: Promote the value of the App Marketplace and integrations, demonstrating how a "Connected Jobsite" is superior to a collection of siloed point solutions.

  • Innovation Scouting: Identify emerging industry trends (e.g., Robotics, Digital Twins, AI-driven pre-construction) and advocate for their inclusion in the long-term roadmap.

What we're looking for:

  • Industry Pedigree: 12+ years of experience in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Real Estate Development. You must speak the language of RFIs, Change Orders, and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) fluently.

  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional public speaking skills. You must be able to command a room of 500+ people and simplify complex technical architectures for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strategic Acumen: A deep understanding of the macro-economics of construction, including labor trends, material escalation, and global sustainability mandates.

  • Technical Breadth: While not a developer, you must understand Cloud Architecture, API economies, and how data flows through a modern construction tech stack.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced industry certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP) preferred.
