Overview

We're building a Frontier Marketing organization that learns fast and executes with precision and agility through AI-powered insights. Our Marketing Analytics team builds AI and advanced analytics models that enable us to create intelligent tools that empower marketers with the data-driven insights they need to optimize marketing impact and deliver rich recommendations for sellers to drive opportunities in their accounts. To accelerate this transformation to Frontier marketing, we are looking for a Data Scientist - Social Analytics who is excited to work with largescale social and behavioral data and apply analytical and social network techniques to real business problems. This role is designed for an individual contributor who can independently execute well-scoped analytical problems, apply established methods, and deliver insights that inform marketing and communications decisions, with guidance from senior data scientists.

You are a curious data scientist who enjoys working with complex, noisy data and uncovering patterns in how people and communities interact. You are comfortable applying analytical techniques to social and behavioral datasets and are eager to deepen your skills in social network analysis, experimentation, and storytelling with data.

You thrive in a collaborative, matrixed environment and enjoy partnering with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders. While you benefit from guidance on problem framing and approach, you can take ownership of execution, manage your work, and deliver high-quality analyses that drive impact.

Responsibilities
  • Execute well-defined social analytics projects, translating business questions into analytical approaches with guidance from senior data scientists
  • Apply social analytics and social network analysis techniques (e.g., graph analytics, community detection, centrality analysis, influence or diffusion concepts) to understand engagement and behavioral patterns
  • Analyze large-scale, noisy, and unstructured social media data, contributing to incremental improvements in data quality, feature engineering, and analytical relevance
  • Develop analytical outputs, metrics, and visualizations that support marketing, public relations, and product decision-making
  • Collaborate with analysts and senior data scientists to contribute to scalable and self-serve analytics solutions
  • Communicate findings clearly through written summaries, presentations, and visualizations, translating technical results into business-friendly insights
  • Follow established best practices for data science quality, documentation, and reproducibility, and contribute to shared team standards and learnings
  • Embody our culture and values.



Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results) or consulting experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
    • OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
    • OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience ingesting, cleaning, and analyzing large-scale social media data, including unstructured and semi-structured signals (e.g., posts, comments, engagement metadata), with attention to data quality, bias, and analytical fitness for use
  • 1+ years of experience with social network analysis algorithms including community detection, centrality metrics, influence propagation models, graph-based clustering methods
  • 1+ years of experience applying statistical or machine learning techniques to social or behavioral analytics problems
  • 1+ years of experience with advanced visualization techniques for social analytics and tools such as PowerBI

Data Science IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
