The Tomahawk Mill is currently seeking resumes for a Purchasing Buyer.

Principle Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of process flow, including purchasing, receiving, accounts payable, etc.
• Process purchase requisitions
• Ensure compliance with all PCA purchasing policies (quotes, bid waivers, use of corporate suppliers, etc.)
• Review for vendor issues (inadequate insurance, conflicting T&M vs LS) prior to PO issuance
• Verify contract POs contain the appropriate clauses and legal language
• Follow up on open purchase orders and expedite as needed
• Review and document order acknowledgements
• Manage the clothing and rug rental contracts
• Assist with the annual blanket PO process-quotes, approvals, PO issuance
• Communicate with requisitioners and vendors as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma, some post-secondary education preferred
• 3-5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• This position is on-site at the Tomahawk, WI mill and is not remote or hybrid
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must possess a valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be detailed oriented
• Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills
• Experience in vendor negotiations

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary range for position: $65,000 - $80,000
• Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
