Our entry level Accounts Payable Associate I performs accounting functions such as processing invoices, verifying financial data, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role requires attention to detail, a basic understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in financial software to maintain accurate financial records.

Invoice Processing: Accurately review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system for payment.

Payment Management: Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and other payment methods to ensure timely vendor payments.

Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including invoice approvals and payment documentation.

Vendor Communications:Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.

This opportunity is based in Portsmouth, NH.

Qualified candidates for this role will have the following:



  • 1-2 Years' minimum accounting experience required, preferably in Accounts Payable.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have intermediate Excel skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to relate to customers, outside contacts and fellow employees.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment


Physical Demands:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk.
  • Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Occasional reaching and stretching.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying light objects (usually up to 10 pounds).
  • Moving within the office environment, including visits to different departments or meeting rooms.
  • Prolonged periods of computer monitor work, reading documents, and detailed work.
  • Frequent typing and use of office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly over the phone, video conferencing and in person.
