PROGRAM DETAILS

This internship is part of Smithfield's Internship Program, designed to provide current college students with an opportunity to explore career options through function-specific assignments. The program is divided into tracks, each oriented towards a different part of the Company's operations. It provides interns with an opportunity to learn about an aspect of the Company's business while gaining valuable hands-on experience. Company senior leaders, along with an assigned manager, mentor, and program manager, will provide guidance, training, and partnership throughout the internship. This is a 12-week paid opportunity.

Interns are expected to contribute to the goals of each department to which they are assigned. They will assist in problem-solving, assume leadership roles for certain projects, help the department achieve both short and long-term objectives, and deliver high-level results that exceed expectations. This is a project-based internship, although interns will contribute to numerous initiatives during their time with us. At the end of the program, each intern will give a presentation to department/company leadership to highlight their contributions, learnings, and recommendations to the company moving forward. The Internship Program is designed for high-potential college/university students who can quickly adapt to new environments, show initiative, and take on increasingly complex project responsibilities.
