Job Family Health & Safety Discipline ESH&Q Management Career Level M4 Salary Range $145,020 - $203,376 Note for Salary This is the range within which SRNS expects the majority of qualified candidates would enter this role if offered. Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors. Job Family Description Occupational Health and Safety personnel ensure workplace environments comply with health and safety regulations and standards to prevent accidents, injuries, and health hazards. They conduct risk assessments, regular inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. They develop, implement, and train employees on health and safety processes, procedures, and protocols. They ensure organizational compliance with health and safety requirements from regulatory agencies. They review and provide input for hazards and controls in job safety analyses. They investigate incidents, analyze causes, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks that affect workers, property, the environment, and the general public. Discipline Description Environmental, safety & health, security & quality (ESH&Q) multidiscipline managers lead efforts to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, promote workplace safety, and protect employee well-being, the public, and the environment. The role involves developing and implementing policies, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating training programs to maintain a healthy safety culture and sustainable work environment. Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include: Provide direct assistance to the Director of Health, Safety and Medical in establishing, directing, and managing the overall site Integrated Safety Management, Industrial Safety and Industrial Hygiene Programs; ensure the implementation, compliance, and performance to DOE directives and SRS standards with respect to those programs. Required Qualifications * Fifteen or more YOE as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed plus six or more years of experience (YOE) in a relevant management role, OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus twelve or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's Degree in a relevant field plus eight or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed We'd Also Like to See Extensive knowledge and understanding of 10 CFR 851 Career Band Management Career Band Description * Roles in this band provide people management direction to ensure the overall effective functioning of a function, sub-function, department or administrative process by implementing strategies and processes, and by building a high-performing team Career Level Description Provides leadership and direction through managers with accountability for the performance and results of a business area, while developing business plans and contributes to the development of a functional strategy, guided by functional or major operational segment strategy and priorities. Security Clearance Information SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
