Position Description The HR Generalist plays a key role in delivering HR services and supporting the employee experience across the organization. This role is anchored in benefits administration and HR operations, while providing exposure to broader HR generalist responsibilities including employee relations, talent processes, and HR business partnership. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple systems and deadlines. This role is designed to expand in scope over time, providing the opportunity to grow into broader HR Generalist and HR Business Partner responsibilities. Key Competencies Required to be Successful as a Human Resources Generalist:
Benefits Administration (Primary Focus)
- Administer day-to-day U.S. benefits operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a high level of employee service
- Manage monthly benefits billing and reconciliation, partnering with Payroll and Finance to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate benefit enrollments across HRIS and carrier systems, including life, disability, and voluntary benefits
- Process and track Evidence of Insurability (EOI) and eligibility-related requirements
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, resolving issues in partnership with brokers and vendors
- Coordinate key benefits processes including new hire enrollment, life events, and annual open enrollment
- Partner with vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders to address escalations, system issues, and plan administration needs
- Support benefits-related compliance activities, including audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and maintain employee-facing benefits communications and documentation
- Monitor data integrity across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the overall employee experience
HR Business Partnering & Employee Experience
Employee Relations
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed
- Conduct initial intake and documentation for employee concerns
- Support investigations and resolution tracking
Talent & Performance Support
- Support performance management processes including goal setting and reviews
- Partner with managers on basic coaching guidance and HR best practices
- Support internal mobility and job change processes beyond just admin execution
Recruiting Partnership
- Partner with Recruiting to support hiring processes (offer coordination, onboarding, candidate communication)
- Participate in onboarding program enhancements
ESOP Administration & Employee Support
- Serve as a contact for employee and retiree ESOP inquiries
- Partner with ESOP administrators and third-party vendors to ensure accurate account maintenance and distributions
- Support communication and education efforts to help employees understand ESOP benefits and value
- Assist with annual ESOP statements, distributions, diversification elections, and retiree support processes
- Coordinate with Payroll, Finance, and external administrators to resolve discrepancies or participant issues
- Contribute to ESOP education strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention
HR Systems, Vendor Management & Compliance
- Manage HRIS and benefits system data integrity, ensuring accurate records and data flow across payroll and vendor platforms
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies across HRIS, payroll, and carrier systems, including eligibility, enrollment, and file feed issues
- Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to address system errors, escalations, and ongoing plan administration needs
- Administer access and security for HR and benefits systems, ensuring appropriate user roles and controls
- Support and execute required compliance activities, including federal and state filings, audits, and regulatory reporting (e.g., ACA)
- Generate and analyze HR, payroll, and benefits reports to support business needs and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
- Lead or support HR projects and continuous process improvement initiatives
Education/Certification/Licenses
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
- HR administrative experience with strong exposure to U.S. benefits administration and billing reconciliation.
- Experience supporting a U.S. workforce from an international/shared services environment preferred.
- Experience working with benefits vendors and compliance reporting processes.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) required.

Target Annual Base Compensation range for this exempt role is $75k - 85k. DOE and location. This is a Full-Time position, eligible to participate in the Company's benefit plans including: Paid Time off; major medical, dental, vision; Company paid short-term and long-term disability; paid parental leave; various supplemental benefit plans; and 12% Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).
