Now Hiring: Temporary Housekeeper Location: Waverly, IA Job Type: Temporary /1-6 Months Position Overview Are you dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy creating clean, welcoming spaces? We're seeking a Temporary Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and comfort of our student residence halls. You'll help ensure living areas are sanitary, safe, and inviting for students and staff. Key Responsibilities As a Temporary Housekeeper, you will: Clean and sanitize dorm rooms, restrooms, showers, hallways, stairwells, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect assigned spaces. Empty trash and recycling - restock paper and hygiene supplies. Clean mirrors, windows, fixtures, and furniture. Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors. Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Dependability, punctuality, and respect for residents' spaces. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Physical Requirements This role requires: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Repetitive motions such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items (typically 25-50 lbs). Ability to climb stairs and work across multiple levels.
