Purpose of the Role
The Workforce Development Coordinator supports Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world by coordinating workforce capability and development activities that enable safe, efficient and innovative project delivery. The role connects people, processes and training systems to ensure teams are prepared to support customers across energy, chemicals and resources as they transition to more sustainable operations. By organizing learning initiatives and maintaining workforce information, the position contributes to Worley's ambition to be recognized as a global leader in sustainability solutions and a trusted partner for long-term asset value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of workforce development programs, including scheduling of training, tracking participation and ensuring learning activities align with project and organizational priorities.

  • Manage and maintain workforce records covering qualifications, certifications and competency requirements to support compliance across consulting, engineering, construction and commissioning phases.

  • Collaborate with project leadership and functional groups to identify capability needs that support integrated, data-centric solutions for customers.

  • Coordinate onboarding and mobilization learning requirements to ensure new team members are prepared to contribute to safe and sustainable project execution.

  • Prepare and consolidate reports on training status, workforce readiness and development initiatives to support informed decision making.

  • Liaise with internal and external training providers, vendors and stakeholders to enable efficient delivery of learning services.

  • Coordinate document control, record retention and purchasing activities associated with workforce development operations.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of processes and tools related to training management and recommend practical improvements that strengthen quality and efficiency.

  • Support a culture of health, safety, inclusion and sustainability by promoting Worley standards and values through all workforce activities.

  • Provide guidance to junior administrative staff where required and support collaborative teamwork across disciplines and locations.


Qualifications / Skillset

  • Technical school diploma, associate level qualification or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience related to energy, chemicals or resources industries.

  • Demonstrated experience in coordination of training, workforce development or administrative functions within project-based environments.

  • Knowledge of competency management, certification tracking and compliance requirements associated with industrial projects.

  • Strong planning and organizational capability with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in the use of workforce systems, reporting tools and digital platforms that support data-centric ways of working.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage, persuade and build constructive relationships across diverse teams.

  • Understanding of sustainability principles and the role of people capability in supporting the energy transition and responsible resource development.

  • Ability to work under general supervision while exercising initiative to resolve routine matters and escalate complex issues appropriately.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and to supporting Worley's promise of being the straight-talking partner the industry needs.
