What to Expect

You will be the commercial owner of Tesla's semiconductor strategy, bridging the gap between engineering innovation and supply chain reality. You will be on the front lines, collaborating with our hardware engineering teams to select semiconductors and supplier partners that powers next-gen hardware across vehicles, energyproductsand robotics.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Group Manager, you willoperatewith a high degree of autonomy to influence technical design decisions, mitigateconstraintsand foster executive-level relationships with the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers.


What You'll Do
  • Drive Strategy: Own the commercial roadmap for your commodity, conducting deep market analysis and technology assessments to guide engineering decisions

  • Commercial Leadership: Lead high-stakes negotiations for Master Supply Agreements (MSA), licensing terms, and pricing,to securebest terms and capacity in the industry

  • Cross-Functional Integration: Act as the primary conduit between Suppliers, Engineering, Quality, and Planning. You will translate complex technical requirements into sourcingexpectations forongoingdesign changes and NPI programs

  • Cost & Operations:Use"first principles"approachtoidentifycost saving opportunities and drive consensus with stakeholderstodevelop a path to realize savings

  • Risk Management: Proactivelyidentifysupply risks and partner with Supplier Industrialization Engineers to resolve constraints before theyimpactproduction lines

  • Data Analysis:Compile and analyse data related to supply chain health,component pricingand supplier performance


What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, or operations management (Electronics/Semiconductor industry preferred)

  • Understanding of engineering product development processes and supply chain lifecycle

  • Proficiencyin Excel, SQL, or Power BI to build models and reports

  • Strong communication, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with incomplete information and competing priorities

  • Willingness to travel no more than 15% of the time

    Expected Compensation
    $104,000 - $234,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
