The Senior Chemical Dependency Counselor: CCDC IIIE role within University Hospitals offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic, collaborative interdisciplinary team. This position adds value to patient care and significantly assists individuals with various addiction issues.

We currently offer an opportunity for a Full Time, Senior Chemical Dependency Counselor to support patients with addiction issues.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and present educational programs for outpatient chemical dependent programs
  • Provide direct services to outpatient chemical dependency patient.
  • Provide individual and group therapy to program participants
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
  • Assist patients with aftercare and discharge planning for community support
  • Ongoing participation in program development
  • Participate in Quality Management activities and initiatives

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
