Quality Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a Quality Engineer at Booz Allen, you will ensure that products, processes, and systems meet rigorous quality standards throughout the lifecycle of development and production. You will collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and program managers to implement quality assurance practices,conductand approveinspections, andlead and implement root cause and corrective actions as a part ofcontinuous improvement initiatives.

On our team,you'llbe part of manufacturing and delivering hardwarein support of hypersonicrange modernization, testing, and evaluationprojects.You'llwork with key stakeholders turning engineering designs into hardware reality, assuring manufacturability and complianceof designswith vendors,and definingand implementingthe processes, methods, and toolsrequiredto deliver hardware. You'llbe a key part in the Booz Allen Quality Management System, assuring compliance to standards, methods, and processes throughout the design anddeliverycycle.

You Have:

  • 4+years of experience inamanufacturingor qualityengineeringrole
  • Experience withCAD or CAM software
  • Experienceevaluating and comprehending GR&R
  • Experiencecreatinginspection or verificationroutingsin machiningor assembly operations
  • Experience using and interpreting coordinate measuring machineresults
  • Experience with gage design
  • Experience working within AS9100 or ISO9001-based Quality Management Systems
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree inan Engineeringor Technologyfield such as Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with continuous improvement projects
  • Experience with root cause or corrective action tools
  • Experience in Supply Chain or vendor quality management
  • Experience leading hardware non-conformance RCCAand disposition
  • Secret clearance
  • ASME Y14.5 Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
