What to Expect We are seeking an energetic and engaging Quality Supervisor to lead quality technicians for our production line during our night shift operations. You will exercise your exceptional people skills to delegate tasks and guide personnel in developing one of Tesla's newest manufacturing teams. Your proven record of driving improvements and agility in responding to quality excursions will enable you to set the tone for the rest of the team. In addition, your strong collaborative skills allows you to bring cross functional teams together to efficiently solve complex problems. Your presence will bring structure to the team and bring the best performance out of each of your employees. What You'll Do Delegate responsibilities and manage schedules for a team of quality technicians and inspectors Provide coaching and training to technicians and inspectors Escalate quality issues with management and engineering as needed Drive improvements in quality operations Assist quality technicians and inspectors on in-line decision making Provide regular reports & updates to quality team and management Assist in management of material disposition.Enforce 5S and workplace hygiene standards What You'll Bring Degree in Engineering or Science preferred, or equivalent experience 2+ years of leadership experience with a team of 10 or more employees Certification in a quality-related field such as six-sigma, TQM, or equivalent a plus and proficiency in concepts such as SPC, process capability, PFMEA, control plan etc. Easily demonstrate ability to drive issues to root cause solutions in previous experience Able to wear PPE including a full face respirator and coveralls as needed and be flexible with work schedule Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and be knowledgable in tolerance stackups Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Essential Physical Demands: Abilityto wear PPE, which may include a full-face respirator and coveralls as needed due to working with hazardous chemicals Ability to lift and sort parts of up to 30 lbs. as needed Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
