Job Description




As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in Coffeyville, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, support access control and badge checks, and document security-related activity while providing strong customer service and clear communication. With an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first, you will help to deter incidents through visibility, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or process-area concerns to appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, tank farms, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, logging visitors and vehicles, and directing deliveries and contractors per site rules.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation in a timely manner and communicate observations during shift turnovers to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
