Job Description




As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Rounds in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential location, you will conduct routine mobile and on-foot patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to incidents with calm, customer-focused communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity to every interaction, support residents through teamwork, and stay agile and reliable while reporting security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential community areas and the perimeter, including streets, amenities, and parking areas, while helping to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and community traffic flow as assigned, verifying authorization for entry when required and/or directing visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property staff and/or public responders as needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and resident concerns in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate observations during shift turnovers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
