Join our dynamic team as a
Payroll ComplianceAnalyst, whereyou'llplay a key role in ensuring compliance and accuracy in wage tracking for construction projects.This individual willbe responsible forthe accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of a largeteam.You'llmanagetimekeepingfor the TSPElectrical and I&C team, with an emphasis on Electrical Licensed Journeymen and Apprentices across multiple projects. Reporting to the TSP Electrical Team, you'll work closely with our staffing agency (SST), the Project Controls Team, and timekeepers (who handle time entry and provide timecards) to organize datasets, conduct audits, generate reports, integrate data from various systems, and maintain regulatory accuracy in a fast-paced, multi-project setting.
What You'll Do
- Timecard data entryfor salaried and hourly employeesandassistingwith anypayrollissueswith the staffing agency
- Track andmonitorprevailing wage rates for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., Davis-Bacon Act or similar), with a focus on Electrical LicensedJourneymen and Apprentices
- Maintainsystem dataincluding,new hire, timekeeping, direct deposit, benefits, terminations, garnishments, etc.
- Work closely with timekeepers to review and verifytimeentries and timecards, ensuring they align with prevailing wage requirements and compliance standards
- Develop and enhance Excel-based tools,automations, and dashboards to improve wage tracking efficiency across multiple initiatives
- Perform regular data audits to minimize errors and ensure all information is reported correctly for all assigned projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, finance, project management, SST, Project Controls, and timekeepers) tomaintaincompliant processes in a multi-project setting
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Texas minimum wage laws (state, city, county) and federal standards (e.g., FLSA, Davis-Bacon Act)preferred
- 2+yearspayroll processing experience in the construction industry
- Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems
- 3-5+ years of experience in Texas labor compliance and certified payrollpreferred
- Working knowledge of Texas/federal prevailing wage law, TWC requirements and wage determinations, and apprenticeship compliance basics
- Compliance documentation and recordkeeping
