Position Summary
Contributes, with technical and scientific expertise to the design and development of high quality products on time, within budget, and with a high degree of customer satisfaction. Acts as a team leader for new product development or current product improvement projects.
Primary Duties
Leads projects, proactively plans, and drives projects forwards with limited supervision
Assures that the project results and files are accurately documented and compliant with the company quality assurance and design control procedures
Fosters relationships and promotes a team environment to achieve project goals
Performs data collection, interprets, and draws conclusions in an organized manner to continue the development process
Produces and presents technical information, both written and verbal, for internal and external audiences
Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives
Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education, Training and Experience
Bachelor degree required
5+ years of experience leading projects in product development or quality control
Specific Field, Function, or Specialization: Life Sciences, microbiology or biomedical
Preferred Education, Training and Experience
Fields of Knowledge: Microbiology preferred, Biology
Experience in product development in regulated environment, preferred
Experience managing large data sets; coding experience preferred
Proficient in skills necessary for good laboratory safety, aseptic technique, and basic microbiology technique

International travel required: 5%
Domestic travel required: 10%
Other physical requirements: Position is lab-based and follows work practices for working with laboratory biohazards and chemical hazards.
The estimated salary range for this role is between $100,000-$133,700. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
