Security Officer - Armed Patrol Shift

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Shift in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor access points and conduct security-related screening and/or verification of credentials and authorizations in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete written and electronic reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A DD214 with an honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
