POSITION OVERVIEW:

Primary FP&A position in forecasting, reporting, annual budgeting, cost analysis, strategic planning, and mergers & acquisitions for $200M annual revenue operating company within Dover Corporation. Develop process improvements for key financial objectives including strategic planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis and business intelligence. This role acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support 'optimal' business decision making.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the information, analysis and conclusions necessary to allow the business to better understand its overall business effectiveness to understand and improve financial performance.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with operational and functional leaders across the company to help evaluate business performance against the key performance indices identified by the company.
  • Consolidate, analyze, and interpret actual financial results against the annual operating plan & monthly forecasts to summarize the performance of the business and explain significant variances.
  • Collaboration with key business partners, especially the site accounting teams, to coordinate, review, consolidate and prepare timely, complete and accurate financial forecasts, reports and analyses.
  • Envision, formulate, develop and continuously improve strategic plan, annual operating plan and monthly financial forecasting models, templates, and reports leveraging MS Excel and Dover's corporate financial consolidation tool (OneStream).
  • Continuously look for ways to improve and simplify the execution of the budgeting and forecasting process while ensuring a high degree of accuracy and leveraging the various ERP and consolidation systems.
  • Monitor, track and calculate key financial metrics including sales growth, earnings growth, gross margin, conversion margin, working capital margin, free cash flow, capex, DSO/DPO, and inventory turnover.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the following presentations and related supporting materials and schedules: strategic plan, annual operating plan, and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
  • Completes ad hoc business cases including varying levels of financial analysis, real option valuation, and/or sensitivity analyses to evaluate potential business investments.
  • Assist with performing financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions including model formulation, management presentations and on-site due diligence as required.

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance and MBA or CPA preferred
  • At least 7 years of experience in finance and accounting roles of increasing responsibility having developed mastery in the application of forecasting, analysis, consolidation, and cost accounting concepts, methods and techniques to support business performance reporting and decision making
  • Possesses superior levels intellectual curiosity, critical reasoning, analytical depth, data manipulation, and business acumen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills capable of effectively communicating across levels of the organization
  • Able to foster and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external constituents and stakeholders
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), budgeting/forecasting tools, financial reporting/consolidation systems and manufacturing ERP systems
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of progressive corporate finance management roles in high growth, multi-national companies. The person's background should include core competencies in financial planning for a global enterprise, financial & economic modeling and analysis, and capital planning.

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will have a well-rounded leadership and management background.

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
