Responsible for supporting and/or facilitating large and small group camp activities for campers, such as imaginative play, splash day, sports, games, outdoor education, and arts and crafts. Responsible for the general safety and well-being of the campers. Act as role models of respect and citizenship toward campers, colleagues, and the community. Does this position require Patient Care? Essential Functions
  • Plan, lead, and participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for children.

  • Create and maintain a fun, engaging, and safe environment for all campers.

  • Continuously assess the safety of camp spaces and equipment and report any issues related to equipment, facilities, or behavior to the Program Manager.

  • Communicate with parents and guardians daily, building relationships by learning names and providing updates about their child's day and experiences at camp.

  • Provide accurate information to parents and guardians regarding ongoing and upcoming youth programs, aquatics programming, and supervised youth and adult sports activities.

  • Distribute and collect any necessary paperwork, forms, or notifications from parents and guardians.

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Can experience be accepted in lieu of a degree?
Yes.

Licenses and Certifications
  • HeartSaver CPR AED Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (required)

  • First Aid Certification (required)

Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience supervising children required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with children, peers, and parents/guardians.

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with enthusiasm for children's programming.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Schedule / Position Details
  • Seasonal Summer Position (10 weeks)

  • Labeled as Per Diem / Part-Time but scheduled consistently during the summer program.

  • Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts.

  • Typical start times may include 7:15 AM, 8:00 AM, or 8:30 AM, depending on program needs.
