The Strategic Sales Consultantserves as the strategic partner for their Sales Executives/Sales Leaders and will work collaboratively to support the day-to-day business activities toward achievement of their quota.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations
  • Solid communication and relationship skills
  • Triage opportunities based on established processes, policies, and guidelines
  • Leverages and maintains internal systems such as Salesforce for accuracy and data integrity
  • Acts as an internal and external liaison to prospects, contacts, brokers/consultants on behalf of the Sales Executive/Sales Leader
  • Collaborates as part of an internal service team encompassing sales, proposals, Underwriting, and account managers and applicable functional areas.
  • Actively establishes collaborative relationships across support teams, business units and other functional areas from which we require positive engagement to achieve quota goal. Collaborates with other departments and manages cross-functional projects
  • Facilitates preparation of all background information for important meetings. This may include both internal background intelligence and external meeting materials
  • Supports RFP activities throughout the sales process. Coordinates resources where necessary
  • Maintains client overview documents to use for meeting preparation and to circulate among internal teams to share information about clients
  • Drives activities to prepare for virtual and finalist meetings as well as facilitates meetings as necessary
  • Partner in preparation for internal business review session
  • Able to articulate the OptumRx Value Story along with the suite of products available
  • Collaborates with Sales Executive/Sales Leaders to identify potential targets and project manages next steps and follow-up
  • Conducts market research on prioritized accounts through proactive use of data
  • Supports the contract process as required and marshals resources as necessary around contract completion and execution

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of health care and/or PBM experience
  • 3+ years of sales support experience, project management experience, sales, client management, client support and/or market research experience
  • Proven experience reviewing and analyzing sales data to maintain accuracy and ensure it is up to date
  • Experience communicating clearly & concisely, leveraging excellent listening skills with sales teams and other internal partners
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills including experience balancing multiple priorities
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proposal/RFP experience
  • Experience reviewing sales bids
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Knowledge of CoPilot or other AI tools to enhance efficiencies

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
