Description & Requirements
The Healthcare Reimbursement & Regulatory Compliance team delivers specialized expertise in Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting and related third-party reimbursement services through regionally aligned practice units. With deep local knowledge, we help providers navigate complex regulations with precision and compliance. From accurate data analysis to strategic insights, Forvis Mazars offers tailored support that reflects regional nuances and optimizes reimbursement outcomes.
What You Will Do:
  • Support a variety of consulting projects specific to skilled nursing facilities and other post-acute care providers.
  • Assist with revenue cycle consulting and accounts receivable recovery for skilled nursing facilities and other post-acute care providers.
  • Prepare well documented work papers that organizes client provided information into prescribed formats that supports conclusions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving work processes through the use of technology.
  • Balance multiple concurrent engagements within scheduled deadlines
  • Providing timely updates and feedback upstream
  • Maintain an unmatched client experience through work quality, work efficiency, and excellent client relations
  • Communicate both up and downstream to team members and exercise judgment in determining client interactions
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Health Services Administration or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel
  • The ability to manage and prioritize multiple client projects, including monitoring project time budgets and consistently meeting or exceeding agreed-upon deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant accounting or consulting experience in healthcare, long-term care, or senior living
  • Working knowledge of key business processes in long-term care, such as Payroll-Based Journal reporting, Medicare billing, survey processes, Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Compare, case management, admissions, etc.
