Job Description




As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol PT in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, support staff and visitors, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and provide strong customer service while partnering with site leadership. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and requesting emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor flow, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate areas while maintaining a professional presence and documenting interactions as required.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital: Vaccines are required.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
