As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Attendant in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will greet staff and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and access permissions, and monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce incidents, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Operate access control points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing authorized individuals to the appropriate areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; document irregular activity and report concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with medical facility protocols such as restricted area access, controlled entry, and incident documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
