Are you looking for a career where your environmental impact truly matters? The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking a dedicated Air Monitoring Equipment Specialist to support essential air-quality tracking efforts in the southeastern region of the Commonwealth. As an Air Monitoring Equipment Specialist, you will oversee the daily operation and maintenance of enhanced particulate monitoring samplers that run continuously, seven days a week. • Conducting daily sample collection tasks and completing required documentation
  • Performing routine maintenance and quality assurance checks to ensure accurate sampler performance
  • Installing and retrieving enhanced particulate filter samples at designated monitoring sites
  • Recording data and monitoring sampler operations to ensure proper functionality
  • Transporting exposed filter samples to a central location and delivering network filters to the laboratory
  • Maintaining accurate records of sample activity, equipment status, and field observations
  • Working independently across multiple sites while demonstrating strong organizational skills and accountability
